Iphoto event sort manually

I see by default iphoto orders events by the earliest date inside the event. That being said, i see you can drag and drop events to come up with your own ordering. Is there a way to reset the ordering back to "by date" if you have done a lot of drag and drop of events to different places. Seems like the problem only was that I had managed to sort the events "manually" (View Sort Events Manually) which hid the newly created events in-between my rather large amount of existing events. Sorting by date (View Sort Events By Date + Descending) shows my new events first in the list as they should.  · Events versus albums When Apple first introduced Events in iPhoto ’08, many users were unsure exactly how this organization scheme was any better—or any different—than creating an album.

Both are great ways to organize your photos. You can merge two events by dragging and dropping onto each other. You can create events by going to "Photos", clicking and highlighting all of the photos you want to include, click " Events " in menu bar, and click " Create Event ". To create an album, highlight the images, then click. The main Photo library view in Mac Photos doesn't let you choose a sort order. But you can easily view your photos sorted by time or title by creating a Smart Album and using that to view your photos instead. You can also sort your list of Photo albums by viewing all of the albums and choosing a sort option, or manually dragging and dropping the albums. In iPhoto, you could sort events and photos by a range of ways. I used to use the events view (which automatically set up an event on import for each day) to easily merge pics from multiples days.

2. Click Photos Adjust Date and Time. Go up to the top menu and click on “ Photos ” and then select “ Adjust Date and Time ” from the top of list. If you want to change the date and time for multiple photos, but you also don't want to give them all the same exact date and time information, consider another option of “Batch Changing. Events versus albums When Apple first introduced Events in iPhoto ’08, many users were unsure exactly how this organization scheme was any better—or any different—than creating an album. When you click on the iPhoto Events folder you'll get a simulated iPhoto Events window. The downside to the simulation is that the Albums/Events can only be sorted automatically by Title. But they can also be sorted manually, either in the sidebar or in the folder's window at the right. This will change with the release of Photos 2 with El.
